Privacy Policy
Smart Head Counter · Last updated: 1 July 2026
Smart Head Counter (“the app”) is designed to be private by default. This policy explains
what the app does and does not do with your information.
Smart Head Counter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
All photo analysis and counting happens entirely on your device. Your photos never leave
your device.
Photos and camera
- When you take a photo or choose one from your library, the image is processed
on your device to count the people in it.
- Photos are not uploaded, stored by us, or shared with anyone. They
remain under your control in your own photo library.
- Camera access is used only to capture a photo for counting. The app does not record
video or use the camera in the background.
On-device processing
- The counting models (machine learning) run locally on your device
using Apple’s on-device frameworks. No image data or counts are sent to any server.
Data we do NOT collect
- No accounts, no names, no email, no location, no contacts.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs that
collect data.
Purchases
- The optional one-time “Lifetime” purchase is processed by Apple
through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction; the app and the developer do
not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified
on-device via Apple’s StoreKit.
Children
- The app is safe for all ages and collects no data, so it does not knowingly collect
information from children.
Changes
- If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
