By downloading, installing, or using FerIQ ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
FerIQ is a speech-to-text application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that lets you record audio and transcribe it on your device using on-device machine-learning models. The App also offers AI-powered summaries, action item extraction, chapter detection, translation between 14 languages, and speaker identification — all performed locally on your device. The App is provided by Ferhat Yigen ("the developer", "we", "us").
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's standard App Store Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement ("EULA"). The EULA is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
FerIQ offers a free tier and a Premium tier. Premium can be purchased as:
Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple ID until cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in App Store → Account → Subscriptions. Pricing may vary by region as set by Apple's App Store tiers. Refunds are handled by Apple via their standard process.
Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for the content you record and transcribe with the App, and for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your recordings — including, where applicable, obtaining the consent of any other party being recorded.
You may not use the App to record, transcribe, or distribute material that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or that violates anyone's privacy or other rights. Recording private conversations without consent is illegal in many jurisdictions.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied. While the App uses state-of-the-art machine-learning models (Whisper large-v3-turbo for transcription, Apple Foundation Models for AI-powered features, FluidAudio for speaker identification), transcription, translation, summarisation, and speaker identification are not guaranteed to be accurate. You should not rely on FerIQ output as the sole source of truth for legally significant material without independently verifying the accuracy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. The developer's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
FerIQ includes the following open-source / third-party components, each governed by its own licence:
FerIQ processes all your data on-device. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is handled and how.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App after such changes means you accept the updated Terms.
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, including for users who violate these Terms. If we discontinue the App, your already-recorded transcripts on your device remain yours to export.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the courts of Denmark, subject to your statutory consumer rights under your country of residence.
